CABB Finland under new leadership
Juha Hiironen succeeds retiring Ulf Björkqvist
On July 1, Juha Hiironen became Managing Director of CABB Group’s Finnish holding CABB Finland Oy and its Finnish production company CABB Oy, in addition to his role as Kokkola Site Director. Hiironen succeeds Ulf Björkqvist, who is retiring after a career of over thirty years in the chemical industry. Johan Lind, Head of Finance and Control, has also been appointed to the executive board of CABB Oy and CABB Finland Oy.
Juha Hiironen and Ulf Björkqvist both worked for Kemira Fine Chemicals, which was renamed KemFine in 2004 and taken over by CABB in 2011. At that time, Hiironen became Site Director for Kokkola, and Björkqvist was named Managing Director of the abovementioned Finnish companies and also took charge of CABB Group’s strategic development on a global level.
“Juha is a highly experienced manager who, as Managing Director, will ensure the continuity we need to keep developing successfully in Finland,” comments Thomas Eizenhöfer, General Manager of the Custom Manufacturing Business Unit.
CEO Peter Vanacker adds: “I’d like to thank Ulf very warmly for everything he has done for CABB. His expertise and strategic ability played a significant role in the Group’s growth in recent years.”
