Many advanced applications require powder coatings to withstand extreme temperatures, corrosive conditions, or exposure to harsh chemicals. Examples include coatings for oil and gas pipelines, and electrical applications such as coatings inside motors and on busbars. Epoxy powder coatings are remarkably versatile and serve a wide array of such applications depending on the type of resins and curing agents with which they are formulated.

In this webinar, we focus on BTDA (benzophenone tetracarboxylic dianhydride), which is a particularly suitable thermal curing agent for epoxy powder coatings because it offers high glass-transition temperatures (Tg) even when using simple epoxy resins based on bisphenol A.
