Pratteln (CH), February 16, 2023 – CABB’s production sites in Kokkola (FI), Knapsack (DE), Gersthofen (DE) and Jining (CN) rise up in the EcoVadis sustainability ratings with Platinum and Gold awards. This is a confirmation of the successful implementation of CABB’s global sustainability strategy, and honors the continuing and dedicated work of all employees.

This year’s assessment by EcoVadis, the largest provider of sustainability ratings worldwide, shows that CABB is on track with the investments it has made in sustainability and safety. The two German production sites in Knapsack and Gersthofen as well as the site in Jining (China) have continued to improve and have now been awarded the EcoVadis Gold Medal for the first time. The Finnish production site in Kokkola has for the first time achieved the best possible rating with the Platinum award. CABB Group will invest more than EUR 50 million by 2025 in expanding its facilities at its production site in Finland. At the same time, special attention will be paid to reducing CO₂ emissions.

CABB has been a member of the Together for Sustainability (TfS) initiative since April 2022. This is a collaboration of international chemical companies that are committed to increased sustainability and wish to advance it on the basis of global standards for the whole value chain.

In April 2023, CABB will publish its second consecutive Group-wide Sustainability Report, which transparently outlines its sustainability goals, metrics and results in the areas of environmental, social and corporate governance. The sustainability strategy, with twelve sustainability targets derived from it, reflects the company’s intrinsic motivation to achieve greater sustainability in the ecological, social and economic dimensions.
