The CABB Group’s Climate Targets Validated by SBTi
The CABB Group has taken an important step in its sustainability journey: the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) has validated our near-term climate protection targets. This means our greenhouse gas (GHG) reduction goals are in line with the latest climate science and meet the strict SBTi criteria.
Our Commitments
We have committed to:
- Reduce absolute Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 45.2% by 2030 compared to our 2022 baseline.
- Reduce absolute Scope 3 emissions by 25% by 2030, covering the categories purchased goods and services, upstream transportation and distribution, and downstream transportation and distribution.
These targets cover both our direct operations and key parts of our value chain, reflecting the importance of working beyond our own boundaries.
How we Will Achieve This
To reach these goals, the CABB Group will strongly increase the share of green electricity in its energy mix and implement a wide range of energy efficiency projects across its sites. At the same time, we will optimize logistics and supply chain processes to lower transport emissions. A central element of our approach will be to build strong partnerships with raw material suppliers and to support them in reducing their own carbon footprint, since collaboration along the value chain is essential to deliver meaningful reductions.
Why This Matters for our Clients and Partners
As a custom manufacturer and solution provider, our clients rely on us not only for quality and efficiency but also for sustainable practices. By cutting emissions in our operations and selected areas of our supply chain, we help reduce the overall carbon footprint of the products and services we deliver. This strengthens our ability to support our clients in reaching their own sustainability goals and in meeting increasing regulatory and market expectations.
Sustainability is a shared responsibility. The successful implementation of our targets depends on close collaboration with our customers, suppliers, and partners. By working together, we can ensure that innovation and climate action go hand in hand, creating long-term value for all stakeholders.
Looking Ahead
Validation by the SBTi is not the end of the journey, but a milestone that provides direction and accountability. Reaching these targets will require ongoing investment, continuous improvements, and transparent communication. The CABB Group is listed under SBTi website company list and you can follow regular updates in the CABB Group’s annual sustainability brochure.
The CABB Group is committed to keeping our stakeholders informed as we make progress toward our 2030 goals. Together, we can advance toward a lower-carbon future.
