Responsible stewardship of environment and resources
The CABB approach is based on a holistic understanding of sustainable action. Managing finite resources responsibly and minimizing emissions are as important to us as optimum plant safety and the prevention of workplace accidents. A global team of experienced HSEQ experts advises and supports all sites in implementing safety and environmental protection concepts.
A Pioneer of Circular Economy
Our integrated production sites contribute significantly to sustainability by saving raw materials and energy, reducing emissions and waste streams, and lowering the costs for logistics.
We achieve this, for example, by using by-products of chemical processes as raw materials for other reactions to the extent possible. Heat generated at one point in the production is reused at another.
Having practiced and continually honed these measures for decades, CABB has pioneered the concept of “recycling management”, which is becoming increasingly important, from its early stages.
A Culture of Safety Awareness
Sustainable chemical production includes safe processes that protect people and the environment. CABB is committed to a culture of “Safety Awareness”. This philosophy regards mature technical solutions and optimal processes not as an end point, but as a necessary basis for the conscious handling of risks by the entire workforce in everyday working life. The long-term expectation is for each individual to take responsibility for occupational and plant safety and to act accordingly.
Integrated Management Systems
Our holistic approach is reflected not least in the application of integrated management systems. These combine and connect the requirements of relevant ISO standards such as 9001 (quality), 14001 (environment), 45001 (occupational safety) and 50001 (energy).
